A good week so far
My weeks is actually going pretty good with no major bumps in my way so far. It started out well on Sunday night when I was invited to go to Senior Sunday and had a drink for free. Yesterday (Monday) I went to an information meeting about research opportunities for psychology which would be a major boost for my resume and grad school application. I contacted two of the different researchers and I might have a meeting with one of them tomorrow to discuss my interests; I’m just waiting for a conformation email. I also wore a shirt today that hasn’t fit me right in a while, but it was a good fit meaning I lost weight; I guess this vegetarian things is working pretty good. Speaking of vegetarian I discovered a new vegetarian wrap that they have in one of the campus cafes that has no cheese and basically nothing fattening except for the balsamic vinegar they put in, but its a minuscule amount and I might just have them not put it in ‘cause its not necessary.
On top of all that randomness I am starting my volunteer work this Friday with Say Yes to Education. I’m being placed in a local elementary school, and because I have some Spanish back ground, I’m being placed in a school where many of the kids speak English as a second language. My Spanish is gonna be on point by this summer. Aside from the Spanish speaking, I love working with kids so this will be a great volunteering experience and another resume booster (but that’s not why I’m doing it.) I’m also picking up more hours from work for the next two weeks because I’m helping out with the valentine’s day orders that we received, so I’m finally gonna have money in the bank.
So right now its only the beginning of the week and all is well. I hope this is a sign of the week to come. I swear if anything goes wrong this week it probably wouldn’t matter because there’s so many positives.
